WSAS Project

Review for the Governor’s Salmon Recovery Office

Overview

Many individuals and organizations in Washington State are working to recover the salmon population in the Pacific Northwest. The Governor’s Salmon Recovery Office (GRSO) – established by the Legislature, through the Salmon Recovery Planning Act – is responsible for developing the state’s strategy to guide those efforts and tracking its implementation. In April 2020, GSRO engaged WSAS to identify scientific and technical experts to conduct an independent third-party review of the GSRO’s policy review of salmon recovery efforts for the Governor.
