Individuals who are not part of the Academy but would like to suggest a potential nominee may email WSAS Staff for help identifying a potential nominator. Process of nominating a new member to WSAS

WSAS members submit nominations during the nominating period. Once the nomination period has closed, nominees are reviewed by member committees representing the five disciplinary sections. Nominations are reviewed only by the section committee in which they were nominated. Nominees deemed qualified for membership by the section committees are presented to a membership committee made up of the section committee chairs and members at-large. The final slate of candidates for membership is then submitted to the Board of Directors. Following Board approval, candidates are presented to the full membership for a vote. Elected candidates are offered membership. Those that accept are publicly announced and inducted at the Annual Members’ Meeting.
