WSAS Member David Baker, and his team at the University of Washington Institute for Protein Design received the Breakthrough of the Year Award from Science Magazine. They were recognized, alongside British AI Company DeepMind Technologies, for their work on selected artificial intelligence algorithms that predict the three-dimensional shapes of proteins and revealed thousands of protein structures.
