    2022 Washington State American Junior Academy of Sciences Delegate wins prize at 2025 Regeneron Science Talent Search

    2022 AJAS delegate Kevin Shen of Olympia, WA took seventh place at the 2025 Regeneron Science Talent Search, the U.S.’s oldest and most prestigious science and math competition for high school seniors. Shen was awarded $70,000 for building a custom flight computer to control a 3D-printed airplane with oblique wings.

    11 students selected to serve as 2025 WA State delegates at the American Junior Academy of Science

    WSAS announced the 2025 Washington State delegates to the American Junior Academy of Science. These 11 students were selected based on original STEM research they conducted while in high school and will attend the 2025 AAAS annual meeting in Boston.

    11 high school students from across Washington State along with roughly 110 of the nation’s most promising scientists from 21 other states, were recognized for their outstanding scientific research.

    Ye, one of the 2020 Washington state delegates to the American Junior Academy of Sciences, received the top prize at the 2022 Regeneron Science Talent Search, the nation’s oldest and most prestigious research based science competition for high school seniors.
